There are many great organization that have been created to help support educators in the quest to teach with technology. Many of them are run by volunteer educators that are passionate about technology. Here are a few great ones to become a part of and even get involved with. The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is the trusted source for professional development, knowledge generation, advocacy, and leadership for innovation. A nonprofit membership organization, ISTE provides leadership and service to improve teaching, learning, and school leadership by advancing the effective use of technology in PK–12 and teacher education. Home of the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS), the Center for Applied Research in Educational Technology (CARET), and the National Educational Computing Conference (NECC), ISTE represents more than 85,000 professionals worldwide. ISTE supports members with information, networking opportunities, and guidance as they face the challenge of transforming education.

ECOO (Educational Computing Organization of Ontario) serves thousands of teachers in their quest to integrate computers into their teaching. They represent all levels of the education system and draws members from all areas of study. ECOO has membership extending across international boundaries, although the primary focus is on Ontario issues. ECOO Elementary is a branch of the ECOO that focusses on the needs of the elementary classroom setting.
